The faces behind CRAFTfest!

And we're off!   Welcome to the first day of the May 2014 CRAFTfest event!

CRAFTfest is an online craft fair that takes place several times during the year.  As with any event, part of it's ongoing success is due to the preparation and organisation that takes place in the weeks and months before the event itself. 

The ladies behind the scenes are not only responsible for ensuring the event runs smoothly for everyone and to provide help, support and guidance to all stallholders, but they also have their own stalls to set up and promote.


So, who are the little workers behind the scenes and what are their stalls? I'm sure many of you will recognise the mug shots and names of some of our fabulous ladies, but do you know what their stalls are?

Anna The Crystal Lady with Mystic Earth

Anna not only is the founder of the Professional Crafter's Guild, owner of Creative Connections, editor at Creative Crafting, but she also has her very own stall at Craftfest!  Her stall is Mystic Earth.   

Mystic Earth creates jewellery that combines crystals and gemstones with crystal healing.  Anna is a certified Crystal Healer and spends a lot of her time researching the healing properties of different stones and finding new ways of adding them to jewellery.  Anna offers a very special service where she will research gemstones that are said to be able to aid you with health issues, physical and psychological and other areas of your life and create a piece of jewellery just for you.  The creations can be made for yourself or for someone you love as a gift.  Each piece of jewellery is totally unique and created just for you.

Avril with Sprinkles Sparkles Handmade Jewellery

Avril is one of the 'techies' behind Craftfest.  As well as doing an amazing job making sure the Craftfest website is up and running and that all stallholders are in their correct categories with the correct Avatar, she has her own stall at Craftfest.  Sprinkles Sparkles designs and creates a variety of handmade jewellery and accessories for any occasion and all at affordable prices.  With a range of different styles of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, hair accessories and more there's lots to choose from.

Joy with Beaded Bazaar

Joy is our Facebook Queen and Red Team Leader and tirelessly works helping to promote Craftfest and fellow crafters via the Facebook page. Beaded Bazaar is Joy's stall at Craftfest.  Beaded Bazaar is overflowing with beautiful handmade beaded costume jewellery.  All the pieces are unique one off designs created by Joy.  They include necklaces, bracelets, earrings and brooches.  Joy does also create custom pieces upon request.

Jane with Loopy's Place

Jane is a huge support to the team and as well as leading the Yellow Team she will often be found lurking in the forums and on Facebook!  You guessed it, of course Jane has a stall at Craftfest too! Loopy's Place offers a selection of handmade gifts for the home and family. All the items are beautifully and lovingly created and Jane has many items that are ready to post.  However she also spends a lot of time making items to order to create extra special items.

News from ColaCreations

What a busy April we've had with lots of new and exciting things happening!  We have developed our new website, joined the PCG and are preparing for Craftfest!

ColaCreations now has a new website!  After what has seemed like forever the site is finally live and I am chuffed to bits with the end result!  There are still a few small tweaks that need to be made but overall I think it's looking great.  My craft items still need to be purchased through either Folksy or WowThankYou, but I wanted a website not only to showcase the items I create, but also as a point of contact for customers and so potential customers can read about the face behind ColaCreations!

ProCrafters Guild
We have also just joined the ProCraftersGuild - a Guild established and run by crafters for crafters who want to be taken seriously in business.  The PCG not only offers a great crafting support system, but also offer recognition for your work in unique badges and certificates for your online websites, pages etc.  Plus all members appear on a directory of crafters that is open to the general public.

We are also getting ready for the next Craftfest Event which is running from 24th - 31st May 2014.  Booking forms to take part in the event are still open, and if you sign up now you will get a FREE digital copy of the latest issue of Creative Crafting magazine.
